MUSIC LESSONS

Strings

The British Columbia Conservatory of Music offers multiple instruments within the strings category. With both traditional music-reading and Suzuki methods available for all strings instruments, our program provides a comprehensive learning environment. Instruments in our strings program include lessons for: Violin, Viola, and Cello.

Lessons tend to range from 30 minutes to 60 minutes depending on the level of the student. A guideline for the length of lessons is:

Pre-Grade - Grade 2

Curriculum

The key to learning anything is to build a solid foundation! We believe that the most effective way of learning is a comprehensive approach consisting of five separate areas:

High School Credit

Students can receive high school credit upon completing their string and theory exams for Levels 6, 7, and 8. Certificates are given to students who pass both their practical and theory exams and can present their certificate as their Fine Arts Credit.
