Mary Ann Cayetano

Piano

Mary Ann Cayetano received her music degree from the University of British Columbia and has also studied the Suzuki Piano Method and the Kelly Kirby Method. Mary Ann has performed in many master classes and studied with Dr. HenriPaul Sicsic, Dr. Eugene Skovorodnikov, Dr. Harold Zabrack, Mr. Lee Kum Sing, and Mr. Edward Parker. She holds a Piano Performance Associate Diploma and a Teachers Associate Diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music and has been a recipient of many scholarships and awards throughout the years.

Mary Ann is an active member of the BC Registered Music Teachers Association (BCRMTA).   Positions held with the BCRMTA include President of the BCRMTA, Richmond Chapter; Provincial Delegate, and Executive Board Member, BCRMTA Richmond Chapter. In addition, she has been a Board Director for the Northwest International Piano Ensemble Competition. Also, as an active accompanist for choirs, Mary Ann conducted the St. Monica Youth Choir in which she received a Papal Service Award for her work.

Mary Ann is a piano examiner, adjudicator, and piano clinician.   Her students have received numerous scholarships and awards through the years including Gold Medals awarded by the Royal Conservatory of Music for receiving the highest marks in the Province for their Piano exams. She conducts piano master classes in the Lower Mainland including at the BC Conservatory of Music. Mary Ann works in various capacities as a performer and is an active piano, music theory, and history teacher.
