Elisabeth Stuart is an established pianist who has worked hard to hone her musical abilities through study, performance, and teaching. Most recently, she toured Eastern Canada as a pianist for the Western University Wind Ensemble, under the baton of Colleen Richardson. She also had the opportunity to perform with the prestigious Ensemble Made in Canada during their residency at Western University in London, Ontario. Internationally, Elisabeth was invited to participate in the CCM Piano Institute in Prague, Czech Republic, and the Summit Chamber Music Festival in New York. She has performed in many master classes, including those of Petr Sefl, Sara Buechner, and Yuri Kim.
Elisabeth has always had a special interest in the collaborative arts. She has accompanied students at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia, Western University in London, Ontario, and was the piano accompanist for the St. Francis Xavier University Chapel in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. She has also performed with the University of British Columbia’s Choral Union, Chinese Ensemble, and Balinese Gamelan Ensemble.
Elisabeth completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Music at the University of British Columbia in April 2012 under the tutelage of Amanda Chan, where she received a President’s Entrance Scholarship. In April 2015, Elisabeth completed her Master’s Degree in Literature and Performance from Western University, under the tutelage of John Hess, where she was awarded a Western Graduate Research Scholarship.
Currently, Elisabeth is a sought-after collaborative pianist and teacher residing in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Elisabeth as been teaching at the British Columbia Conservatory of Music since September 2015.
