Christina was born in Hong Kong, where she began taking piano lessons at the age of four. At the age of eight, she immigrated to Vancouver, B.C. with her family, where she continued to study piano. She studied her advanced piano at the British Columbia Conservatory of Music with Mr. Christian Meyers, the President of the Conservatory, and went on to achieve her ARCT Piano Teacher’s Diploma in 2003. She has been teaching piano at the Conservatory since then. Having had such a positive learning experience, Christina finds herself extremely fortunate to be able to teach in the same environment where she once took piano lessons, theory classes, and played in recitals.
Christina enjoys working with students of all levels and ages, but she particularly enjoys working with young beginners where she can inspire them and enrich their lives with music. She is patient and pleasant to work with, and will tailor her lessons depending to the needs of her students. She works together with the parents to ensure that they are informed about their child’s progress and learning experience. A number of her students have achieved remarkable scores in their piano examinations and piano festivals. Christina is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
